Installation subsidies to support the energy transition
To encourage individuals and professionals to adopt solar energy, the State has put in place various aid schemes and subsidies, in collaboration with EDF
Self-consumption photovoltaic bonus
Amount indexed to installed capacity (State aid from € 240 to € 10 000, with no income conditions).
Purchase obligation
Resale tariffs for solar electricity are set by decree; the purchase contract runs for 20 years and is indexed to inflation.
Reduced VAT rate of 10%
For individuals when the installation is grid-connected and ≤ 3 kWp.
20% VAT credit
For professionals subject to VAT.
Electricity buyback
Surplus electricity is purchased by EDF OA under a 20-year contract indexed to inflation.

Financial aid schemes for the installation of photovoltaic panels are subject to various conditions, including the requirement to hire an RGE-certified professional.
